Some email scored above auto-delete threshold is not being deleted

Hi,

I'm fairly new to cPanel. My website is now being hosted by a provided that uses it.

I receive a fair amount of spam, so I enabled the spam filter with these settings:

Spam Threshold Score = 5
Auto-Delete Threshold Score = 8

I get less spam now, but I still receive some that seem obviously above my auto-delete threshold, like this one:

Delivery-Date: Fri, 29 Mar 2019 16:28:45 -0400
X-Spam-Score: 228
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
X-Spam-Flag: YES
X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=22.8

Shouldn't that have been deleted? Am I missing something?

Also, Spam Box feature is unavailable for me. Otherwise I guess I can use filters to keep these emails from reaching my inbox.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi @Dave H

This mail is definitely being caught and flagged as spam though:
X-Spam-Flag: YES
X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=22.8
This indicates spam assassin scored it and flagged it as spam and based on your settings should have deleted it. Is it possible the auto delete was disabled? It might also be helpful to discuss this with your provider as based on this information I see no reason why it wouldn't have been automatically deleted.

Thank you for confirming this. Auto-delete was definitely on at the time. I've since disabled it, and am using a global filter. I primariy wanted confirmation that I was understanding the spam filter correctly, so thank you for that.
