Hi

I have few questions about SSL and if you can help me with this.

1. Can I use 1 IP to have SSL for multiple domains and subodmains that I own, I was looking at StartSSL™ Organization Verified (https://www.startssl.com/?app=40).

2. Can I also have shared SSL for all domains?

3.. How to set up SSL for mail, I now have generated CPanel certificate for mail.domain.com when recivind and sending mail so I get warnning every time in outlook.
How can I set it up, and what about domains other than mail.mydomain.com. Like domains hosted on my CPanel server. Do I give them my domain SMTP and POP and IMAP or how can they all share one certificate.
I am a little bit confused about this and not sure did I explain it correctly.

Thanks

Hello :)

SSL certificates for your services such as Exim and POP/IMAP are handled via:

"WHM Home » Service Configuration » Manage Service SSL Certificates"

Typically, you would purchase a certificate for the hostname of the server, install the certificate using the above option for all services, and then advise your customers to use your server's hostname in their email client configuration.

The answers to your first two questions largely depends on the version of cPanel installed on your system. There are several improvements to the SSL Management system in cPanel version 11.38. You can read about these improvements at:

11.38 Release Notes

There is also a Webinar on cPanel 11.38 at:

cPanel -- 11.38 Webinar

Sharing SSL certificates on a single IP address prior to version 11.38 is mostly limited to unsupported manual workarounds.

Thank you.
