    Hi Guys,

I am having issues with only a couple of clients on a server. I have rebuilt apache/php several times now and still the same couple of clients are getting the same error.

We have a couple of domains that are getting 500 internal server error when trying to access php scripts.

And i have one client that is getting 404 errors when accessing anything in their public_html the error log show this account attempting to access all files in /usr/local/apache/htdocs

The server is configured with apache 1.3.39 php 5.2.3

I have noted that in the apache rebuild log I get the following errors for uid
    error setting uid (32014) [32014]
    error setting uid (32014) [32014]
    error setting uid (32014) [32014]

They appear after every site that is not working (different uid numbers for each of course)

    Any help?

    1.check the permissons of /their /home /home_public_html compare to a working site
    2. check the contents of their .htaccess files to make sure there is not an directive in there that would give an error
    3. check httpd.conf for errors

    "error setting uid (32014) [32014]" check the /etc/passwd & /etc/group for errors
asume that on is for the 404 guy

/usr/local/apache/htdocs is the weservers public html not your clients

    Hi Dalem,

    Thanks for the reply.

I have checked the etc/group and etc/passwd files and there is no difference in the setup of the account that doesn't work and the one that does.

I have been over the permissions and ownerships of the affected sites and compared to working sites. All looks good.

I fully removed the .htaccess file....no change

The httpd.conf entry is now different to other sites.

    Still searching :(

I was able to get some sites working by removing 'suphp' from the apache config. However all of the sites that were failing are unable to login to cpanel.

    Cpanel error_log shows the following

    error setting uid
    error setting uid
    error setting uid
    error setting uid
    error setting uid
    error setting uid

Any ideas on how to fix this?

If I type in at the prompt in shell

    id username

For either the affected sites or sites that work I get a correct output from both.
