We run several cPanel machines with a very similar setup, Centos 6/7 based with latest version of WHM. These are virtual servers under openVZ. I've been noticing a trend lately across more than one server where clients are complaining that they are seeing default cPanel page when going to their site. Upon investigation I'm finding that they are clients who previously had a dedicated IP, their DNS still points to the dedicated IP but cPanel has them configured for shared IP thus a discrepancy in Apache. The fix has been to simply switch the IP back to the IP they had to let cPanel update those configs again. In list accounts it does show it on the shared IP. In some cases even though it shows the domain on shared IP doing a change ip in whm says their previous IP is still taken by their domain, even though cPanel thinks they are on shared IP.

So far this has happened more than 5 times on different accounts and different servers. I have to somehow think it must be related to some recent cPanel changes or updates but I'm not sure what yet. These servers have been running properly for a long time with no changes to IPs etc. on our end.

This sounds likely to be related a if I recall we have been enabling/disabling Engintron/Nginx on some of these servers which likely would change the port thus spawning the dedicated IP bug mentioned in that post.
