Something weird happened

Hi guys,

Something weird happened to me. I did no changes whatsoever. My WHM all looks fine. But all of a sudden, i get this error on ALL applications that requires database access.

Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (11).

Even my roundcube is affected. Any ideas why this happened guys?

Have you tried restarting mysqld?

Yes, now i've restarted. But what caused to behave in such a manner?
