Hello, Long time no post!

Question regarding SA, does it 'do its stuff' on Forwards as well as standard mail accounts?

    Thanks

Depends on how you have it set up..

If you have it set to Discard spam: nothing gets forward

If you have it set to send to another folder such as SPAM folder: nothing gets forward

If you have it set to add SPAM header for possible spam and nothing else: It gets forward

    Hope this helps!

Where do you set all those options?

Currently forwarded emails don't seem to be filtered through Spam Assassin!

this happened to me when i just forwarded the emails

I had to create an email account through cpanel for those
email addresses and did the whole nine yards with NEOMAIL

SPAM ASSASSIN now works and filters those accounts before they get forwarded.

I see, so we have to setup a POP3 box with the same alias as the forwarder? Then aren't e-mails duplicated, like one staying in the mailbox and another forwarded?

Yup!! you got it.. that's the downfall of this!!

I have several web accounts where I have to go in and delete the junk out of mail boxes so they don't go over their qouta..

The 2nd and the 3rd are obviously options under Spam Assassin in Cpanel. But how do you setup the 1st one? How do you discard spam as soon as they arrive?
