We have recently had some problems with abuse because of spam sent. Our server was shut down for about 14 hours by LT. We installed an addon to php which tracks from which script the message was sent and made some other changes to the system, but anyway we would like to have a more complex and secure monitoring of spam to prevent the users from sending, or tracking it at once, after it was sent, before receiving any abuse.
Please, could you tell us how you use to look for, find and track suspiscous spam activity and spam messages.
We use FreeBSD under cPanel/WHM
