In the event of a client script being used to send out mass emails unsolicited ( spam in other words :) )

What are some of the best methods of prevention utilizing WHM / cPanel11 ??

I see that some new changes with cPanel 11 included suPHP which looks promising, but is it tied strictly to Apache 2.x ? I am currently running Apache 1.3.39 and PHP 4.4.7 .

SuPHP will work with all versions of Apache we currently support. When using SuPHP and SuExec, you can then set the setting in tweak settings to disable user nobody from sending email. You may also wish to enable SMTP Tweak in WHM -> Security -> Security Center.
