    Hello

My server hosts some WordPress site. Sometimes these are hacked and some wise guy injects some cod to send spam. My mail queue is full of mails that are sent in this way. Curious is that email addresses mentioned as sender are not configured on the hosting account. How can I setup exim in order to send mail only from legitim email accounts (real and hosted here)

    Thanks

Enable sender verification. WHM -> Exim Configuration Manager

However, seeing the log entries and/or headers of one of these emails would perhaps let us see what exactly is happening so we can better recommend a solution for you.

    Hello :)

It's also a good idea to make sure the scripts that are uploaded to your server are up to date. While this might be time consuming if you have several customers, it helps to prevent scripts from becoming exploited and used for SPAM purposes. In addition, check out the "Security Advisor" option in WHM. It helps to identify common security issues on the server as a whole.

    Thank you.

You are not going to eliminate spoofing completing from your server. Your best option is to enable as many tracking features as possible so you can detect the source of the messages when this happens and suspend the offending user. Read through the descriptions of all of the options in "WHM Home » Service Configuration » Exim Configuration Manager" and enable the ones you feel would be helpful. The following document also provides some general tips:

    Prevent Email Abuse

    Thank you.
