    Hi,

We have been running spam free until we recently upgraded to Cpanel 11 and the new spam assasin and then the spam started coming and will not stop. We have reset SA and added custom filters along with turning the spam score down to 3.0 and in some cases 2.0.

It seems like SA is not filtering the spam at all. We have been dealing with this for over a week now and our admin at the data center says everything is running just fine, spam assasin set correctly, etc,. Yet no matter how many filters and no matter how we set spam assasin the spam just keeps coming. Especially the spams with Russian characters and even very common ones regarding Male Enhancement. Anyone else experienced this yet?

    - Does the Spam Assasin stuff appear in the e-mail headers?

    - Have you edited the exim config file at all as it does things a bit differently internally and some changes can stop it scanning (inside the bit called ACP from memory).

In CPanel 11 it no longer allows you to change the title and defaults to ***SPAM*** although that can be changed in WHM, but by the sounds of things you might not even be getting scanned.

Yes, 2.0 is way too low - if spam is not hitting it's either not being scanned or your rules are extremely thin. What files are in /etc/mail/spamassassin?

    TrevHCS,

No, there are no SA info in the headers of the spam emails.

No, we have not edited the Exim Config at all.

Log in to WHM, choose the Edit Exim Configuration option and adjust your settings there. Chances are something changed and you might have to set up SA again, or at least tweak it. See if any of the "Reject if SA Score is more than xx" are checked off.

We enabled the checking of IP addresses in 2 RBL's and have also enabled spamassassin globally.

Doing this seems to have ended the flood of spam coming in, at least for the last 2 hours.

Will keep you posted if the flood comes back, thanks for the suggestions.:)
