I am moving from Plesk and finding some things in cPanel are not so obvious. I have two issues with Spamassassin and hope someone can help.

    1) Instead of marking incoming email with ***SPAM*** in the subject line, is it possible to just have it go to the junk folder in webmail?

    2) All my incoming email has a lot of information at the top such as the below. Is there a way to turn that off?

    Thanks.

    Hi @hennesseystealth

You can customize the X-Spam-Subject/Subject header prefix at WHM>>Service Configuration>>Exim Configuration Manager. If you go to cPanel>>Email>>Spam Filters and configure the Spam Box Settings as well as enable it, mail with a specific spam score will be automatically moved to the spam folder.

the X-HAM report and X-SPAM flags are necessary for Spam Assassin to score mail and for exim to read the flags and take the appropriate action - the exim documentation here 44. Content scanning at ACL time might provide a way to do this but I am unaware if this will work for what you want it for.

    Thanks!

Thanks. The spam folder issue was due to our hosting provider not turning on that function in cPanel. Now that it is there, I can handle it with spam and email filters.

I'll look at the latter issue and see if I can trim down what comes through as a header on non-spam emails.

    HI @hennesseystealth

I see, I didn't think to mention it because it's on by default, glad you got that sorted with your provider though. Please let us know if you have any other questions during this transition from Plesk to cPanel we're here to help!
