SpamAssassin options do nothing to prevent BackScatter

    It's odd that Service Configuration > Exim Configuration Manager > Basic Editor > Apache SpamAssassin options

    Do not forward mail to external recipients based on the defined Apache SpamAssassin™ score

    Even when the outgoing forwarded mail would be classed as spam, the system still tried to send a bounce message back to the original sender - which will almost always be spoofed when the message is spam.

    Have you considered using the Greylisting feature available in cPanel version 11.50? It's documented here:

    11.50 Release Notes - Greylisting

    This might be a suitable alternative to help prevent SPAM while reducing backscatter.
