Spamassassin Rules Directory

I'm having a problem with SpamD failing. I've searched the forum and tried all the remedies listed and am still getting the following error when I run spamassassin --lint:

warn: config: could not find sys rules directory

Has anybody seen this error before and if so how did you remedy it?
