A user selected the option off SPAM.HTML to delete all email tagged as spam ("To simply have the server DELETE and NOT deliver emails that are tagged as spam by SpamAssassin, click here now."). This resulted in the creation of a ".filter" file in the root. Now he can't get back, despite deleting the .filter file and the contents of .spamassassin. What else does he need to do?

By the way, under "Email Filtering" there are no filters in place. Still deletes every email tagged as SPAM.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Believe it or not, we have tried a lot of different things and spent a lot of time in here reviewing topics (including one very similar to this one) before I punted and posted, including:

* deleting the .filter file
* deleting the contents of .spamassassin directory, .filter, and .spamkey
* No help from the spamassassin forum (which is fair - does not seem to be a spamassassin problem)

So, thanks in advance - I know everyone has plenty to do.

Luke

Thanks!

Another post in this forum led us back to /etc/vfilters/domain.com. We had tinkered with it along the way, but got rid of it as the post suggested and the problem is now corrected.

Even though I didn't get a personal response :( , you guys (& gals) still solved my issue

Thanks
