    i've suddenly got many spamd failed.

    i've done a forced upcp and reboot, it doesnt seems to work.

    i've tried /scripts/eximup --force, i've notice the following

    Code:
    Checking if your kit is complete...
    Looks good
    Writing Makefile for Mail::SpamAssassin
    Makefile written by ExtUtils::MakeMaker 6.56

    .
    .
    .
    .

    cd spamc
    /usr/bin/perl version.h.pl
    version.h.pl: creating version.h
    ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc/mail/spamassassin --datadir=/usr/share/spamassassin --enable-ssl=no
    Can't exec "./configure": Permission denied at spamc/configure.pl line 83.
    make: *** [spamc/Makefile] Error 127
      cPCPAN/Mail-SpamAssassin-3.002004.tar.gz
      /usr/bin/make -- NOT OK

    Can anyone provide any insight how to solve my spamd failed problem?

    Thanks.

    I recommend submitting a support request so that we may take a closer look at the circumstances and accurately troubleshoot the issue. I believe it might be a known issue stemming from an older version of CPAN or Archive::Tar that resulted in incorrect permissions when extracting tar archives, such as the downloaded archive of the Spam::Assassin Perl module used for reinstalling/recompiling spamd.

    Reference: Bug #46384 for CPAN: Bad options used with Archive::Tar

    If you let me know the ticket ID number upon submitting a support request I can assist with confirming the corrective measures so it can be shared in this forums thread. For reference, the links in my forums signature may be used to initiate a ticket submission, such as via one of the following: (Support Options & Additional Support Options).

    This problem could be solved editing the following file /usr/lib/perl5/YOUR_PERL_VERSION/CPAN/Tarzip.pm

    You should change the value for the following line "local $Archive::Tar::CHMOD = 0;" to 1.

    Once the file be edited, run /scripts/fixspamassassinfailedupdate
