i have tried this still spamd child eating my ram...

Hey there! The details provided in that old thread that you quoted user would not affect the RAM usage on the system, but it would tell CSF/LFD to ignore that process and not to send you the excessive resource usage notifications about them.

Do you know if the server receives a large amount of email traffic? If so, it could be that spamd just needs to use more resources.

i have the mail id but not receive any important mails spam mail received weekly 10 to 20 but here using more resources....

To me, that doesn't seem like a large amount of ram 6-7% for one process seems like a normal number for the brief period of time that will be running.

If you're seeing multiple processes running constantly, it would be best to submit a support ticket to our team so we can take a look at the system.

If you'd like to disable it, you'd want to uncheck both boxes in WHM >> Service Manager next to the Apache SpamAssassin option, and then save the settings on that page. That will disable the service and keep it from being monitored so it will not restart.
