I need to change the ip of my mail server. Does this mean I need to change the ip address of all spf records to match the changed ip as well? Thanks.

Hi rligg,

Maybe a bit out of subject, but to ease this kind of thing, we created a spf.example.net record here and then we added "v=spf1 a mx include:spf.example.net ~all" in our cPanel's zone template.

This saves us the issue of maintaining SPF records when we migrate customers from one server to another ;)

Hope this helps (in the future at least)!

Hello :)

You should use the IP Migration Wizard when changing the IP address to ensure the accounts and their DNS Zones are updated:

"WHM Home >> IP Function >> IP Migration Wizard"

Thank you.
