SPF Record and Quotes

When I go to add an SPF record in WHM I'm getting each section of text quoted instead of the how thing.

I entered it as a TXT record of the following format:

"v=spf1 a mx ?all"

And when viewing it under the WHM DNS Zone Editor it shows:

"v=spf1 a mx ?all"

But when using DNSSTUFF.COM it shows as:

"v=spf1" "a" "mx" "?all"

And when trying to validate it using http://www.kitterman.com/spf/validate.html?

It only sees the "v=spf1" and says it's an invalid SPF record.

Am I entering something wrong?

Is there a problem with the WHM at my hosting service?
