If you are not seeing Squirrelmail in the webmail interface, first ensure that you didn't inadvertently disable that functionality via WHM. Go to WHM -> Server Configuration -> Tweak Settings -> Mail and ensure that SquirrelMail Webmail is checked. If not, check it then click save at the bottom of the page.

I have unmarked and after, marked again and squirrelmail still without work.

I have renamed dir 3rdparty/squirrelmail for test if upcp --force or exim --force resolve the problem but not.

When I try to use squirrelmail, it say index.php does not exist. And it really don´t, only config dir and others...

How to reinstall Squirrelmail for use in cpanel?

    Centos

You can force a reinstall by executing:

    /usr/local/cpanel/bin/update-squirrelmail

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

/usr/local/cpanel/bin/update-squirrelmail asks me to define a file to patch...?

Squirrelmail gives a 404 (not found) error.

    Regards,
    Mark

What is your full cPanel version number?

Are you executing the command as root?

    Hi,

    I have the same problem.

While i am trying to install a new skin to squirrelmail, i deleted the original config file of squirrelmail created by cpanel, and, when i give this command:

    /usr/local/cpanel/bin/update-squirrelmail

    it gives me:

    Updating Squirrelmail 1.4.9a
    tar -x -p -z --no-same-owner -f /usr/local/cpanel/src/3rdparty/gpl/squirrelmail-1.4.9a.tar.gz -C /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty
    tar -x -p -z --no-same-owner -f /usr/local/cpanel/src/3rdparty/gpl/squirrelmail_files-1.4.9a.tar.gz -C /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/squirrelmail
    tar -x -p -z --no-same-owner -f /usr/local/cpanel/src/3rdparty/gpl/all_locales-1.4.8-20060903.tar.gz -C /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/squirrelmail
    tar -x -p -z --no-same-owner -f /usr/local/cpanel/src/3rdparty/gpl/squirrelmail-decode-1.1.tar.gz -C /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/squirrelmail
    patching file src/read_body.php
    Done

I think, I changed the owner of the files while i am updating.

Maybe problem with 3rdpart dir owner? what should it be? Where could be the problem?

    currently file owner and permissions:
