tried it on a server with edge build. squirrelmail has been seamlessly integrated. It is now an option in domain.com/webmail (needs compelete email address to login). However its smart, it picks your present login inside the /webmail already and doesn't show the login screen.

Its nice to have it there. However i don't know/ think we can use the customisation features of squirrelmail 1.4.0 (yes nick is using the latest version). Squirrelmail now allows you to even customize their own link from the right panel and brand it completely.

However something weird, you can't disable squirrelmail from Tweak Settings. It gives you the option but doesn't seem to save it. (NICK you need to see this). I just changed the value /var/cpanel/cpanel.config and viola it vanished. Anyways who wants it gone, its a real nice addition. Gud job Nick.

You should be able to disable it in the RELEASE version or the latest EDGE.

What is going to happen if we already have Squirrel Mail installed? Do I need to remove it before an update to a version with Sq Mail in it?

    Thanks!

I did not try that, but the version in Cpanel should not be affected because safe_mode won't be enabled on it.

Ummm no offense dude, but how do you know? I was posting that for Nick. I installed Squirrel Mail to get web mail on port 80. What I want to know is:
    1) Will the Sq Mail in cPanel confilct or cause any problems with the current install that I have.
    2) And will the cPanel Sq Mail be running on port 80?

Cpanel Sqmail version won't be affected if you enabled safemode BECAUSE Cpanel has its own php.ini which does not have safemode ON. This does not require a Developer/Admin to know that.

It's completely different than apache and php that runs for :80.

You could have wrriten ''Nick, '' before your question and I was not going to reply.

If you want my reply for the above two questions.

    1. The sqmail I installed works without a problem and still Sqmail that cpanel installed works too.

    2. No, Cpanel Sqmail verison works on cpanel ports only ex. :2082/2083/2095/2096
