I have a couple of customers who are saying that in the body of e-mail viewed via Squirrel mail, that any single-quotes and double-quotes are being escaped by backslashes.

Here is one example (I've x'd out anything too personal):

    Code:
The production team seems great, the director seems like
a pragmatic and well-connected individual, the music
director/arranger/co-creator is a friend of mine who works at \"City
xxxx xxxx!\", worked on xxxxx, and who is working with xxxx
xxxx, xxxx et al in xxx xxx right now- and he is
extremely well-connected. It\'s xxxx showcase code, so I should be able
to continue with my xxxx points, there\'s a modest yet reasonable
stipend, travel and housing are provided and we\'re only there from
July 12-15. So I\'m thinking it\'s maybe a worthwhile way to...
Any ideas? Google searches and forum searches didn't turn up anything.

Turns out that it was the 3rd party "cpanelproxy" script we were using for this user... to allow them to access webmail on port 80 instead of the normal port. The script was causing all the quotes and double-quotes to be escaped.

We are on STABLE, but eventually the cPanel official proxy for webmail & cpanel will filter down to STABLE and then we won't have to use the 3rd party solution.

Yes, it will filter down once 11.23 reaches STABLE.
