After the nost recent cPanel update Squirrelmail has stopped on two servers. When accessing from the webmail link we get a 500 error with nothing in the logs to indicate why.

    Hi,

Please try to restart dovecot service.
    /etc/init.d/dovecot restart

If still getting error then check check your cPanel error logs file and let me know if you are getting any error in that error logs file.

    Hello,

It's likely the issue is related to CPANEL-6544, that's addressed in cPanel version 56.0.24:

Fixed case CPANEL-6544: Fix permissions on squirrelmail configuration post 11.56 upgrade.

You can update cPanel to version 56.0.24 via "WHM >> Update To Latest Version" or by using the "/scripts/upcp" command.

    Thank you.
