    hi guys. can anyone explain how to upgrade squirrelmail on cpanel please? projectandrew - s tutorial website does not work anymore ...

    using squirrel 1.4.6 want to upgrade to 1.4.7 ... different security issues addressed WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.2-R119 / centos 4.3

    That release is pretty new so I'm not sure how long it will be before cPanel can do the upgrade. Maybe put in a feature request ticket and see how they respond.

    If you can't wait you can do it manually. SSH (root) and cd to where Cpanel keeps the latest SquirrelMail tarballs and grab the latest version:

    Code:
    cd  /usr/local/cpanel/src/3rdparty/gpl/squirrelmail/
    
    wget http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/squirrelmail/squirrelmail-1.4.7.tar.gz
    Unpack it there but Cpanel keeps the currently installed version is at /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/squirrelmail so you'll want to apply your upgrade accordingly, following the instructions at http://www.squirrelmail.org/wiki/UpgradingSquirrelMail
