sshd idle time shows in days even though i have logged in right now
i mean it never shows a value of seconds
it just says either 2 days idle or 3 days idle when the user has just logged in or logged in a day back
220.226.190.237 is the ip logged in and typed "w" in shell in less than 3 seconds
so its idle time should be 0.0 sec instead of 3 days/

    wats the issue ?

    i am running
    CentOS 4.2
    VPS 384 ram
    linux/cpanel
    Open SSHD

    Go on, have a guess
Looks like an OS bug. Could be a corrupt wtmp file I suppose. Does it show correctly in:

    last -da
