Hi,

I recently got asked by a friend to update their forum software, I was given root access as well as ftp information.

My issue is the following, Cpanel has expired, FTP (Port 21) gives me a 530 error and now for some reason the SSH port has closed I have tried port scanning and it says all ports are closed but the website remains online.

I can login to WHM but due to the license being expired I cannot do anything so getting impatient I bought a Cpanel license for the server but now it asks me to run the license update command (/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt) but the port is closed and I cannot run the command. I know Cpanel works on a cron and was wondering after 24 hours would it auto check the license and allow me access to WHM?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi,

Yesterday I used this tip to fix ssh
Login WHM and add this on final URL:

Code:
scripts2/doautofixer?autofix=safesshrestart
I don't know if this will work by your cPanel License was expired...

Hello :)

The cPanel update should resolve the license issue if you have automatic updates enabled. However, you will need to investigate why SSH access is not available. Do you have any firewall rules active that could be blocking the SSH port?

Thank you.
