    Hi,

Today I tried to connect ssh via terminal but I can't. It throws this error:
ssh: connect to host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx port 22: Connection refused

Then I tried to restart ssh via WHM. Again an error:
    Waiting for sshd to restart...............................................................finished.

sshd has failed, please contact the sysadmin.

I read some forum threads, and re-install the openssh but my problem still continue

    What can I do?

    CENTOS 5.8 i686 vmware – sunucu WHM 11.34.0 (build 9)

I have to use port 2222 Not sure if that may be your issue. I had the same error until I changed to this particular port. Else you may want to verify with your host server what their SSH port # is to be used.

Can be false, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Once you've restarted it, for example after changing port numbers for access you'd restart, you can check to see if its up here:
Home » Server Status » Service Status
    Or here:
Home » System Health » Process Manager

Or from a command line of course. :)

If port 22 is not open, you'd get that refused message. That's no reason to 're-install openssh' though, surely.

Try to safe restart the SSH by passing string "scripts2/doautofixer?autofix=safesshrestart" in WHM url

    Code:
    https://SERVER_IP:2087/cp1a234234234324/scripts2/doautofixer?autofix=safesshrestart
Then you can SSH to server and check the logs for problems.
