I want the port for ssh off 22, so I changed it in /etc/sshd/sshd_config

But that took out ssl for whm and cpanel on port 2087 and 2083

I added those ports to sshd_config too, but still get a "don't speak ssl on this port" error when trying to connect

Any way to work around this?

Did you restart SSH after your changes?

    Solution

    Follow the steps

Login into your server as root

Find the line '#Port 22' and uncomment it and change it to look like 'Port [Random high level port here]'.

For example we changes the port no22 to port no 322

Now save the file and retsrat ssh service

If you have nay firewall then open the port no 322 in your server firewall and try to access server with the new SSH port no :)
