    Hello guys,
I am pretty new with my VPS and still working my way up. However I've faced this problem and can't figure out why it isn't working. I want to give one my hosted site SSH/SHELL access. That account already has a package attached to it. And it doesn't allow SHELL access. However I saw that, using Manage Shell Access control panel you can give an account either normal or jailed shell access. So from their I've enabled shell access for that account, but still the ssh/shell button show up in the cpanel. What is causing this? I tried giving that whole package Shell Access, but still no use.

Just do it from the command line

    chsh <user>

    **

    root@serve [~]# chsh bob
    Changing shell for bob.
    New shell [/usr/local/cpanel/bin/noshell]: /bin/bash
    Shell changed.
