Try to do debugging using strace.
Run the following command from the shell.

    strace -f -o apache2-crash.txt /etc/init.d/httpd startssl

In the apache error log, when you see a Segmentation fault error collect the pid.
    Kill the strace process.
Search for the PID in the file apache2-crash.txt, should give you some information.

Apache has a quite helpful debugging guide on their website.
Have a look at Apache HTTPD Debugging Guide - The Apache HTTP Server Project

    Hope this helps.

Try running it without PHP 4.

    Hello

    only with PHP 5 and

    root@server [/]# httpd startssl
    /usr/sbin/httpd: line 97: 18627 Segmentation fault (core dumped) $HTTPD -k start -DSSL

    or

    root@server [/tmp/.tmp/log]# /scripts/restartsrv httpd
    Waiting for httpd to restart..............finished.

httpd has failed, please contact the sysadmin.

    Thank you
