Hello everybody...

I need some help with an SSL Cert I installed on a site that is hosted on a cPanel server.
Everythings to be OK if I use https://domain.com, but if I browse using https://www.domain.com (Internet Explorer only, Firefox doesn't have any problem) an invalid certificate alert appears.. Should I have to buy another SSL for www.domain.com, or this is a problem ? I mean, i wanna use the same certificate for both ways, www.domain.com and domain.com.

Thanks

I don't think this is possible (unless you purchase a "wildcard" certificate which would protect *.example.com ).

Each individual SSL "host" (such as www.example.com or example.com) needs it's own dedicated IP address: and cPanel/WHM can only allocate a single IP address to a single account. For multiple SSL certificates under the same account/domain name, you'll need multiple IPs for that account - which WHM/cPanel can't "do".

or you may need to assign a port such as cpanel use :2095 :2086 just to the other ssl roots...

obvious this is not elegant and having a own ip address is the correct and functional solution

if you brought this ssl a week ago or less you may cancel and refund this and issue another one using www.domain.com

by the way ssl will never show www. in the certificated if it was not issued this way...
