Hi i have an ssl installed on my server like this https://server1/mydomain.com but when i go to that URL i get this message below

Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be a problem with the server, or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you don't have.

But if i go to https://server1/mydomain.com:2087 its secure

What i want to know is some customers have email problems saying dovecot: pop3-login: Disconnected (auth failed, 1 attempts would this be why ?

    Hello :)

I don't believe the issue with your SSL certificate is related to your Dovecot issue. SSL certificates for Apache are installed differently than the SSL certificates for services such as cPanel/WHM. You can install a SSL certificate for a website via:

"WHM Home » SSL/TLS » Install an SSL Certificate on a Domain"

As for the issue with email accounts, does the issue continue or are they able to login after waiting a period of time?

    Thank you.

Check to see if their email accounts have been blocked by cPHulk brute force detection:

"WHM Home » Security Center » cPHulk Brute Force Protection"

There is a tab named "Login/Brute History Report" that lists failed logins and brutes.

    Thank you.

That error message means that either username or password (or both) is wrong.
It has nothing to do with ssl certificate.

What specific error message are you referring to? Also, do you notice any additional output in /var/log/maillog when the login attempt fails? Does it fail every time, or does it only happen on occasion?

    Thank you.

Feel free to open a ticket so we can login and attempt to reproduce the issue:

    Thank you.

It's important to have root access when opening a support ticket to allow for a full investigation. Please do not send sensitive login details through the forum itself. We have a specific authentication field with the ticket system that keeps the access details secured.

    Thank you.
