SSL certificates

    can i create a ssl certificate for my website ?

    i mean i saw that before generating a certificate , i must upload a key ...

    can i create a ssl for my domain ? i wouldn`t want to buy one , so is there an alternative ?
    if yes ? what do i have to do

    Your host will be in the best position to answer that. You may have to pay for a private IP address, or it may already be included in your plan. They may allow you to create a self-signed cert, or they may not. It's all up to your host.

    and if i am allowed to , what do i have to do ?
    where can I find a free crt file to generate a key . I think I need it to generate the ssl certificate, needn`t I ?
    I am using whm and Cpanel
