Hi,

We have a site that used (past tense :)) SSL. We do not longer use this. Thi site is still hosted on a Direct Admin server where SSL requests are redirected to a private_html directory and non SS request are redirected to public_html directory.

Now we are moving this site to a new server that uses Cpanel.

How does the redirection work with Cpanel for a website (not cpanel or whm itself)?
I don't see a private_html directory?

There is no private_html directory on a cpanel server it uses the public_html directory. That is a DirectAdmin feature using a private_html or not using

Hello :)

Yes, with cPanel all public website content is stored in the public_html directory by default. The same content is served to both SSL and non-SSL requests.

Thank you.
