I'm not sure I understand your post. What happens when you click that link to "Login using SSL"

All but that part, no clue what that means.

You'll find options for changing redirection here:
WHM > Server Configuration > Tweak Settings, Redirection tab.

I understand the user's issue, he's just having a tough time due to his English skills. I have encountered the same issue. I'm the only one that accesses my server so up till now I did not have an SSL setup. Now when trying to login to my whm - I'm being forced to :2087 vs. 2086 - I checked the setting in Tweak and it is set to "not" force SSL. Why is this happening? This is a brand new issue, as I've had this server for over 4 years.

    WHM Version:WHM 11.30.4 (build 6) -

I login using my IP address vs. a host name. If I now "must" add an SSL how should I set that up? Do I use the primary website for the server to order the SSL? I've ordered and install SSLs for customer sites on the server for years, but I've just never set one up to login to the main.

    Thanks in advance

    Why not use the hostname?

WHM > Service Configuration > Manage Service SSL Certificates
If any of these show in red, click Reset Certificate to generate a new one.

I'm not sure of the issue here exactly, when you say being forced to :2087, but will try and duplicate.
