    Hi,

I decided to use Canvas by Siteminder as website builder.
After I updated DNS setting (TXT and CNAME), my SSL website is not working, I tried to run auto-ssl but get this meesage:

    example.com
    Code:

The system failed to fetch the DCV (Domain Control Validation) file at “example.com/.well-known/pki-validation/5F9AEFB7BAA5F54566A19C2BEC3A3FE4.txt” because of an error: The system failed to send an HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) “GET” request to “example.com/.well-known/pki-validation/5F9AEFB7BAA5F54566A19C2BEC3A3FE4.txt”' because of an error: Could not connect to 'example.com:80': Connection refused
. The domain “example.com” resolved to an IP address “x.x.x.x” that does not exist on this server.

    and on www.exmple.com
    Code:
The system failed to fetch the DCV (Domain Control Validation) file at “www.example.com/.well-known/pki-validation/012B72D89C5E4C1F573DD4652282AED2.txt”' because of an error: The system failed to send an HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) “GET” request to “www.example.com/.well-known/pki-validation/012B72D89C5E4C1F573DD4652282AED2.txt”'] because of an error: Could not connect to 'www.example.com:80': Connection refused
. The domain “www.example.com” resolved to an IP address “x.x.x.x” that does not exist on this server.

Please advise how to fix it

    Thank you

Unfortunately, having the domain resolve directly to an IP which is bound to the server is a requirement for AutoSSL. I can see how this may be frustrating for CDN's; however, it seems your sitebuilder service entirely points the domain to another server. If this is the case, it's not possible to perform the DCV check in the way that AutoSSL currently functions.
