I have a server that has an expired cert. I needed to generate a 2048 bit cert so I did the following:

I created a Private Key with 2048 bit.
I created a CSR for the domain
I submitted it and received back my new certificate.
I went to the Upload Cert and uploaded it and it shows in the list of certs.
I then went to the Activate SSL and it has the right things in the boxes and I hit Install the certificate.

    It gives me this error.

Your SSL certificate failed to install on your site.
Error from ssl wrapper: Sorry, the system admin has not enabled this feature.

I saw 1 post prior that has this information in it but I am using CPanel and I do not see an option for

WHM >> Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings >> in System / Use native SSL support if possible, negating need for Stunnel disable the box >> click in Save

Am I not logged in as a powerful enough user? I only know root and the user I am using and root will not login at the CPanel level.

How can I get the new certificate installed? CPanel version 11.24.5 is what I am running.

    Thanks.

It is an existing cert that is expired that I am trying to replace, so the IP is already assigned to the SSL.

Please make sure that you have assigned the dedicated IP address to the domain where you would like to install the SSL certificate.

To help clarify, WHM or Web Host Manager, is a specific area of the control panel for administrative management over the server and also for reseller access, where it allows root or resellers to manage multiple cPanel user accounts.

The error message provided indicates that the feature for installing via the end-user cPanel might be restricted by the Systems Administration team that manages or controls the server; however, it is still possible to have the SSL CRT installed through the root/reseller WHM control panel access. Typically, if you have reseller access to WHM, when logging into cPanel there should be an icon displayed for WHM allowing you to switch to the reseller area of the control panel.

If you do happen to have root access (i.e.,. for System Administrators where the username is "root") or reseller access (using your normal cPanel username), I would try using the specific WHM URL or link to login, such as using one of following examples:
    Code:
    http://www.domain.tld/whm
    http://www.domain.tld:2086/
    https://www.domain.tld:2087/
    http://whm.domain.tld/
For comparison, here are the equivalent access URLs or links for cPanel access, with the main difference being that both cPanel and WHM run on separate port numbers, and use a different redirect name (e.g., /whm or /cpanel):
    Code:
    http://www.domain.tld/cpanel
    http://www.domain.tld:2082/
    https://www.domain.tld:2083/
    http://cpanel.domain.tld/
If able to login to WHM, here is documentation that helps to detail the applicable features for managing SSL certificates and their installation or removal:
    SslTls < AllDocumentation/WHMDocs < TWiki

Within WHM, here are the two most relevant menu paths (that can be related to your upstream service provider if needed):
WHM: Main >> SSL/TLS >> Install a SSL Certificate and Setup the Domain
WHM: Main >> SSL/TLS >> Manage SSL Hosts

The install page at the menu path noted above will also let you re-install over an existing SSL certificate, thereby updating it if necessary. If a re-install alone does not work right away, it may help to first remove the existing SSL CRT via the Manage SSL Hosts page (in WHM), then perform a fresh install of the new certificate via the aforementioned SSL install page in WHM.

If root access is not available, it will most likely be necessary to request the SSL certificate installation from your upstream hosting service provider or data center (e.g., where you purchased the hosting service from or from where the dedicated server is purchased from). Your upstream server vendor or hosting service provider will be able to either remove and re-install the SSL certificate (using your new SSL CRT) or update the existing SSL certificate via WHM.

If you have root or reseller access or need help confirming the status of this, we can help verify via a ticket (e.g., by testing your available login information with the known access links/URLs for WHM); additionally, if your upstream host needs they may also request SSL install assistance via a ticket in case there is any difficulty.
