    Hi,

Would like to install CA signed certificate for the hostname, which is a subdomain.

    Example: server.domain.com

How can I validate the certificate as there isn't an e-mail account for that sub-domain?
Do I need to remove the current self-signed certificate?

    Regards,

When you buy or get the CSR, I don't think it is required that you have to have an email address email@server.domain.com

You can use your working email address user@domain.com and it should be fine.

When you install the CA signed SSL cert on WHM, the self signed will be replaced by the new one.

    Thanks for the reply

I've the certificate, but unsure how to install it for the hostname

    I did:

WHM > Manage Service SSL Certificates > cPanel/WHM/Webmail Service

This secures the ports 2083, 2087? does it apply to all CPanel accounts?

Basically I want to make it more secure when accessing WHM and CPanel.

    Regards,
    Sercan
