We have gone back to acquiring our SSL certificates from globalsign, overall they have been easy to manage but I am not sure the proper way to install the certificate for the machine name our host setup for the server WHM access.

I have a wildcard cert issued and installed on the domain name (works fine), and was able to use WHM: Home /Service Configuration / Manage Service SSL Certificates
to set it up for the FTP server, Exim, etc. But for the life of me I cannot figure out the proper way to update the cert for the nameserver.

How it currently shows in SSL manager for the cert set to expire soon:

Hey there! I'm not sure what you mean when you say "cert for the nameserver" - can you get me more details on that? In general, nameservers are all handled at the DNS level, which doesn't have SSL certificates.
Sorry, I didn't intend to say nameserver, didn't even realize I did!

This is for the machine name: server3.ourdomain.com.

I have a wildcard cert for ourdomain.com installed, but it won't recognize the server3. prefix, and trying to install the certificate on server3.ourdomain.com results in an error.

If you look at the image I attached you can see the current setup, but I don't know how to update it.

Thanks for that clarification. I would expect the wildcard certificate to work as well, if it is also installed through WHM >> Manage Service SSL Certificates. You mentioned you already had the SSL installed in Exim, so can you not just click the "Apply Certificate to Another Service" button to get that installed? If not, what error do you get?
