    Hope you can help.

My client purchased a wild card certificate for his domain
so he wants to use secure e-mail pop and smptp

but use for example mail.mydomain.com for pop and smtp

but Eudora and Outlook give a warning msg.

Is there some way to install this certificate on the shared server so that my client can access his webmail and secure pop smtp without errors

    Thanks
    John

Part of the problem is that mail.clientdomain.com is redirected to server.maindomain.com when the client is connecting.

The easiest way I found to get around this was to put an SSL cert on server.domain.com (ie, the FQDN of the server that WHM is installed on). The slight drawback is that the client then has to use server.domain.com as his mail server config in Outlook.

There may be a tidier way of doing this where the clients can keep their own domain as the destination mail server, if so, I'd like to hear it.

I like this method though, as one SSL cert can secure SMTP / POP / FTP for all client accounts.

    This is what I did:

    Purchased a wildcard SSL for

    x.mydomain.com

    Installed it..

It works,, but it gives errors
    in outlook when you goto
mail.mydomain.com for pop and for smtp.mydomain.com
    and the webpage

    which is webmail.mydomain.com

Again, I have other people on this server, and would like different secure mail accounts for everyone, in their own names...

    Warmest, regards
    John
