I was going through some ssl logs (in /var/log ) today and I noticed the following lines :

[27/Mar/2004 12:47:06 31034] [info] Connection to child 8 closed with unclean shutdown (server www.xxxxxxxxx.com:443, client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)

The "unclean shutdown" doesn't seem to cause any issues though as SSL is working without any problems.

Is this common on CPanel servers?

Hrm... I wonder if this is what happens when I close an IE window which is taking too much time to load...

    Second opinion?

I see it a lot in the logs, even when I visit the pages myself and everything is working just fine.

This usually happens if your browser caches old certificate details and your
server used a regenerated one (with same domain). Remove all your cached server
certs in your browser, restart the browser and try again.

    Overall, nothing to worry about.

Also, added a FAQ entry for this error to http://www.cpanelfaq.com/007/124.html
