SSL only - Cons

    I`d want to see if there are any cons to running my site SSL only. So even if a user would go to http, they`d be redirected to https.

    Root Administrator
    The cons are all small.
    • SSL is slower as it adds a layer of encryption processing
    • SSL presents more CPU load on the server
    • Occasionally, some things won't work with SSL - granted, they're unusual

    The performance issues won't be noticeable unless you have a lot of users.
