Right, i bought an QuickSSL certificate from geotrust, installed it on one of my domains with a dedicated IP, It validated the certificate and said it was installed. I restarted the server and still i can't access the domain OR IP with the https protocol. This has never happened to me before.

Can someone advise on how to rectify this problem?

    Host Admin.

Have had the same problem too on a RedHat Ent Linux 3. Enable SSL for WHM/Cpanel/Webmail connections, generate an ssl cert, and now I can no longer get to WHM.

Yeah this is stupid Ive worked for 2 weeks trying to get ssl.

I have plesk and guess what it takes 30 seconds to do this with no issues.

Ive posted many times to get help with ssl but no one will help me, I thought these were support forums.

    I can help ;)

assumpion: Your whm/cpanel cert is not working so you can log into WHM and change it

    soultion:

    1. Use/make any other web accesible account/dir on your server
    2. Copy dir /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot to that site so it is web asscesible
    3. Just go to that dir by your web browser and change that damn cert for whm

Of course risk of that method is that you will send root pass without crypting... but if ya scared you can change root pass after

ps. I also have no idea where crt of whm/cpanel is located

They are, but the support is from other cpanel/WHM users and not all questions will have answers, and some may take a while to be seen by someone who knows the answer. All help here is voluntary, and not every question has someone knowing the answer. Sometimes we have to go to our hosting or server providers, or even do some research.

That makes 2 of us, probably many more. ;)

Ok here was my problem I had corruption in my httpd.conf file. Sites had switched home dir and stuff on a few accounts. Once I deleted the two accounts it worked fine.
