Hey there everyone,

Woke up this morning and attempted to refresh my webmail page, and got a "page can not be found error", so I brought up WHM, and got the same error. Non secure pages are loading fine and I can get into SSH, so I ran: /etc/rc.d/init.d/cpanel restart

The results:

Stopping cPanel services: Waiting for cpsrvd to shutdown......Done
Waiting for cpsrvd-ssl to shutdown......Done
[ OK ]
Stopping pop3 services: Waiting for cppop to shutdown......Done
Waiting for cppop-ssl to shutdown......Done

Waiting for cpsrvd-ssl to shutdown......Done

cpbandwd is already running.
[ OK ]

Waiting for cppop-ssl to shutdown......Done
[ OK ]

How can I get ssl working again? It's kind of necessary.

thanks,

Hey guys,

I tried again and checked /var/log/messages, and here's what I got:

Sep 9 11:07:53 server stunnel: LOG5[32483:3086735040]: stunnel 4.15 on i686-pc-linux-gnu with OpenSSL 0.9.7f 22 Mar 2005
Sep 9 11:07:53 server stunnel: LOG5[32483:3086735040]: Threading:PTHREAD SSL:ENGINE Sockets:POLL,IPv4 Auth:LIBWRAP
Sep 9 11:07:53 server stunnel: LOG5[32483:3086735040]: 2000 clients allowed
Sep 9 11:07:53 server stunnel: LOG3[32483:3086735040]: Error binding cpanelhttps to 0.0.0.0:2083
Sep 9 11:07:53 server stunnel: LOG3[32483:3086735040]: bind: Address already in use (98)
So I attempted to restart named, but it froze during restart, so now I have no web access. I can still SSH in.

How do I do a "Graceful" reboot through SSH?

thanks,
json

I found this in the logs this evening, and it's just prior to the time I had to reboot. Does this show a problem with the kernel?

The solution is in the forum, please use the Search link...

- pico -w /usr/local/cpanel/etc/init/stopstunnel

#!/usr/bin/perl

killstunnel();
sub killstunnel {
system("/scripts/ckillall -9 stunnel");
system("/scripts/ckillall -9 stunnel-3.22local");
system("/scripts/ckillall -9 stunnel-4.00local");
system("/scripts/ckillall -9 stunnel-4.02local");
system("/scripts/ckillall -9 stunnel-4.04local");
system("/scripts/ckillall -9 stunnel-4.05local");
system("/scripts/ckillall -9 stunnel-4.15local"); <- Create a new line with your stunnel version
Then restart cpanel
