SSL/TLS Wizard reports HTTP DCV is wrong for wildcards

I have been trying to renew my wildcard certificate, and keep encountering the error "SSL/TLS Wizard reports HTTP DCV is wrong for wildcards".
There appears to be an identified issue in the support area https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us...izard-reports-HTTP-DCV-is-wrong-for-wildcards however no resolution in over two months.

What are my options to installing the wildcard ssl? I have multiple servers, some are cpanel - some are not. The $75/year that the cpanel interface provides is great...but cant seem to find anyone else that gets that close.
