Ok so I want to make sure I understand things. I want to install a cert for Cpanel/whm/smtp etc. As I understand it will only work for server.hostname.com and not mail.customerdomain.com.

So if this is the case, I am wondering if I can use a hostname alias so to speak. For example secure.hostname.com instead of using server.hostname.com.

If so how would one go about this doing this?

EDIT: I don't care about HTTPS in this instance, I am looking to secure IMAP, SMTP, FTP, etc.

    thanks.
