I just got set up with a cpanel VPS and I am having trouble setting up SSL. I used the "Install an SSL Certificate and Setup the Domain" tool in the WHM, and everything seems to install correctly.

I pasted the crt and key, assigned one of my ip's, and entered the username to my main site. I was expecing https://secure.domain.com to basically be the same as www.domain.com except that it is secure obviously.

However, when I go to https://secure.domain.com, nothing loads as if it is an invalid domain name.

Did I do something wrong? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance! I searched the forum and could not find a resolution.

Edit the DNS zone for that domain and create an A record for that subdomain to point to the same IP as the rest of the entries, and this should work fine.

Alternately, you can create the subdomai in the cpanel interface, and then manually edit the httpd.conf entry that will be created to point to the same document root.
