I was wondering what the process is to starting a webhosting company... I've been doing resellers for a while but want to move into my own server ect...

What is the progress for setting up a company... and does cpanel automatically set up the nameservers for the domain you purchased when you install cpanel... (does cpanel come in a disc or straight from the site into the server?)

Your server provider installs cPanel for you. I would suggest going for a managed server, since they will take care of setting up the server for you, maintaining security and should address any problems that occur.

Most dedicated servers are unmanaged, meaning its your responsability to setup and configure the server as well as security. It all depends on how confident you are. There are some good tutorials here about properly securing a server etc.
