I am having trouble understanding the significance of one of the statistics in my reports. I don't understand why they showing so many failed requests. 3,295 so far for February. They also show 8,987 succesful requests which is up from about 20 per month on my previous host. I am having trouble understanding why the sudden increase and if this figure is correct. It was previously hosted on the web space provided by my ISP and the increase has occured over a period of about two months since hosting with Canaca, the web site is www.standrewsajax.ca

If you are now hosted on a dedicated IP, that could explain it. I noticed someone likes to scan my dedicated IP for all sorts of vulnerable apps (PHP Nuke, WordPress etc.) hence sending my failed/404 requests sky high.

Thank you for the expalanation of the fialed requests. I am still puzzled by the high number of succesful requests. Would they have a similar explanation or would they be correct. I have e-mailed my host twice but have not yet received a reply.
