I notice that the stats for all of my domains (the ones in /home/user/tmp) are all owned by the user and thus come out of their quotas. Is there a way around this, or am I just stuck with this behavior?

Any advice on how other people deal with this issue would be greatly appreciated. I don't see anything else in the forums about it.

    Dear jcn,

That is just the way they behave. This is needed for the proper display of stats of that domain. The users will need to remove their stats from that directory if they do not wish for it to take up space. The /tmp directory contents counts against their quota space.

    Regards,

Thanks for the response. I would say that it's probably a bit misleading to say that this behavior is "needed," as I have certainly built systems that didn't need to be built this way, but I guess this is how cPanel decided to build the stats.

    Thanks.
