I have just installed CentOS 6 and cPanel/WHM 11.44. I am on step 4 where it as for name-servers which I have provided. I registered these name-servers with my registrar. Now step 4 also ask if I want to add a records form my name servers and hostname. Do i need to do this?

    Details Below

ns1.mydomain.com This is registered with the Registrar.
    ns2.mydomain.com This one too.

The Ip's are not in WHM. So my question is basically should I add A records and add name-servers' Ip's in step 4 and do I also record A records for host-name?

Thank You in advance for any help I may receive!!!

    Hello :)

Could you elaborate on what you mean when you say the IP addresses are not in WHM? For instance, are you planning to use a remote name server?

    Thank you.

The Ip's that I am referring too are the ones that I supplied to my Registrar when registering my child nameservers. I have not added them to my WHM at this point. I am pretty sure that I need to; but all videos that I watch on this matter leave this section blank. refer to image attachment .

I also want to make sure that I should A records for my Hostname.

Yes, you should add the "A" records for both name servers and your hostname. Ensure you add the IP addresses to the server.

    Thank you.
